March 2026 Temperature Outlook

Here is the March temperature outlook across the US based on the National Weather Service:

Full Month Outlook:

  • Above average temperatures for much of the US, primarily in the South (especially Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas)

Full Month Outlook

Early March Outlook:

  • Above average temperatures for the Southeast (Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia) and Southwest (Arizona, Southern California) - temperatures rising further through Southeast (to East Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee) and Southwest (to Nevada and Utah)
  • Below average temperatures in New England (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Upstate NY) - moderating in Upstate NY, Vermont and New Hampshire

  • Above average temperatures in West South Central (Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas) and broader Southern US
